Good afternoon, parents and guardians,

Thank you for helping us start the school year off so successfully. We appreciate the support of our students, parents, and community.

Beginning Wednesday, August 27, and continuing each Wednesday, Walton-Verona High School will follow a Late Start Wednesday schedule. On these days, classes will begin at 8:10 a.m. This time is set aside for teachers to take part in training, collaborate on lessons, and review student progress.

Transportation and drop-off details:

• Bus riders will continue to ride the same buses at the same times.
• Parents may continue dropping students off at their usual times.
• Students arriving early will wait in the cafeteria until classes begin.
• Students who drive or whose families can adjust drop-off may arrive closer to 8:10 a.m.

Important reminder: Once students arrive on campus, they must remain at school until dismissal. Students may not leave campus to visit restaurants or other locations and then return. This rule is in place to keep all students safe.
