Yesterday, witches and ghosts alike haunted the halls of Walton-Verona High School. Preschoolers paraded in costumes both scary and sweet. Some children took on their characters full-force, attempting to scare high schoolers with terrifying roars. Others, however, took time to share their smiles. Their shy, adorable expressions weaved through the hallway reminding older students of a time when trick-or-treating and eating candy, until they became sick, was all that mattered. Perhaps the best part of the Halloween parade was seeing Bearcats big and small fill WVHS with the kind of smiles the miniature monsters will remember for a very long time.
