Mrs. Hartman vs. Mr. Coleman: Witt vs. Strength
Read or Run

Walton-Verona: home to many teachers with great strengths and talents. Some teachers, however, have certain skills that stick out to students. Mrs. Hartman, for example, is known for her structured teaching and ability to do everything English-related flawlessly. Mr. Coleman, with calves as strong as a marathon athlete, is always seen doing something physical.

A would-you-rather question popped up in Newspaper concerning these exceptional teachers: Would you rather run 5 miles against Mr. Coleman or take a timed ACT against Mrs. Hartman?

Some students didn’t have a doubt in their mind. Starting off, Bryson Stewart was confident he could easily run against Mr. Coleman and knew the challenge of an ACT with “strategic” Mrs. Hartman. Jack Souther stated, if he had enough time to train, he could easily smoke Mr. Coleman in a race. Even adding, his belief   Mr. Coleman’s age limits his ability to keep up; however, I would say the odds are against Jack not Mr. Coleman.

Others like Bryce Sullivan felt very passionate about the question: “Yeah, I’m not built for running, so I would much rather take the ACT against Mrs. Hartman.” Another student, Kourtlynn Blackburn, doesn’t think she can run 5 miles either, so she would choose the ACT without hesitation.

At the end of the day, we may never know if we could outrun Mr. Coleman or outsmart Mrs. Hartman, but one thing’s for sure—we are better off just sticking to what we’re good at; unless, of course, you’re trying to outrun a test… in which case, good luck!
