This year’s prom was a magical experience for everyone who attended. When students walked in to the Prickel Barn, the room glowed with fairy lights to create a radiant landscape, which created the perfect environment for an unforgettable evening.
Friday, April 25th, students anxiously awaited one of the best nights of their lives. With the excitement of the Senior Walk and the preparation for Prom, students had a busy Friday. After the early release, students got ready for the night with hair appointments, spray tans, acrylic nails, and so much more.
Upon entering the Prickel Barn, students walked in with awe due to the extravagant decorations. Large fairy lights engulfed the room, and the corner of the room had an assortment of games. Corn hole, cup pong, connect 4, and a hyperrealistic golf simulator kept the guests entertained, which was obvious from the large lines waiting behind. Not only did the games exceed expectations, but the photo opportunities were amazing.
Couples and friends took Instagram-worthy photos with the photo booths and photo walls, and had a great time dancing to the trendy music. Dancing the night away under a canopy of lights brought a romantic vibe to the night with the right amount of sparkle. Whether posing for photos under glowing arches or slow dancing in the spotlight, every moment felt like it was pulled straight from a movie scene.
The highlight of the night came with the announcing the winners of Prince/Princess and King/Queen. The Prom Prince and Princess were announced, and students couldn’t wait to see who won. The winners of the crowns, though, belonged to Brynn Willis and Owen Fisk. They felt the love by many through the loud roar of the crowd when announced the winner. The real stars of the show were the prom King and Queen. Each contestant would build the anticipation. Who would win?! Drumroll please…… And the winner of the 2025 Prom Court is….. Blake Morrison and Zelah Gabbard!! Applause could be heard from miles away. Congrats!!
Snacks cooked by Mrs. Smithers’ foods class, DJ with great songs, and heartfelt memories completed the evening. Everyone knew that Prom was more than a dance, but a way to celebrate growth and build friendships. Prom truly lived up to its theme, reminding everyone the best memories are made under the lights.
