School spirit can mean a lot of things depending on who you speak to. For those of us walking the halls of Walton-Verona High School it means supporting our teams, building community, having loads of fun, and experiencing good, friendly competition.
Mrs. Champ shared her thoughts:
“School Spirit Week is more than just a random dress-up week! It is all about showing pride in your school, cheering on your friends, & celebrating the teams & their successes.
Having school spirit is more than just rocking out some themed days…it’s about coming together as a community to build ENERGY, HYPE, PRIDE, & MEMORIES…without any judgment!
LET LOOSE & HAVE FUN!”
The fun hit the halls Monday morning with Favorite/Pro College Team attire and was followed by the burning, trivia question from Mr. Kneisley. It was a race to the phone and a kick to Kneisley’s voicemail with an answer in hand due to the overload of calls. “My heart raced every time I dialed the extension,” said Mrs. Sampson in response to the trivia race. “But it was loads of fun!”
While some of our readers may not have been present in our halls filled with Adam Sandler (on Wednesday) or characters of Rhyme without Reason (on Thursday), you can partake by viewing our slideshow.
