The very motto of our school “Tradition of Excellence” is expressed in not just our academics but in our sports as well. Football Jersey Day is an annual tradition the Friday of the Homecoming Game. On said day, players provide their jersey to a teacher who has positively impacted them during their educational time at WV. Coach Gary Pence shares, “Our players are student athletes, so we wanted to start a tradition to honor the teachers that have had a positive impact on these players lives.” Enclosed here, you can find some photos of teachers receiving a jersey (keeping in mind, this does not include all teachers and/or players). As new photos come in to our Paw Press Inbox, updates will be made. Feel free to send your very own pictures too at [email protected].
