Mr. Pollock, writing a student recommendation
Have you ever wondered where you can find the answer to a burning question? Have you ever looked to get away from the day-to-day rut of life to an exotic place filled with mysterious characters and twisted plots? Or have you just needed a quiet place to study and focus? The library is that place!
Many don’t realize the library is a great place of escape, a place of learning, a research haven, and much more. It is more than just a room filled with shelves and mountains of books. It is a place of comfort and solace, filled with a wealth of information digitally and non-digitally. All can be found in the WVHS library.
I know, many of you are saying, “Reading is not for me” or “I haven’t picked up a book since 10th grade when assigned To Kill a Mockingbird, and even then, I didn’t read its entirety.” Now might be the time to change that and find a book to inspire you. Just this year, Mr. Pollock has added 201 books to our already abounding list with top titles including The Cruel Prince, Remember Me Gone, and The Wild Robot Escapes. If those titles don’t grab your attention, stop by and ask Mr. Pollock, Mrs. Rainero, or any one of the student aides who find joy in working in the library.
The library is for everyone, no matter your reading skill or reading interests. Perhaps the problem doesn’t lie in the fact, you don’t like to read; it is in the fact you haven’t found the right book! Go find it!
