Saturday, 9/7, our WVHS Varsity Golf Team made an appearance at the All-A state tournament where they won the NCKC tournament at the Fairway Golf course in Wheatley, Kentucky. Jack Schickling finished runner-up after being defeated in a playoff. Gavin Vonhadorf shot a 77 and Jacob Cottrell shot a 78; both making the all conference team. The team’s record overall is currently 12-1 in matches. They have also won 3 of the 6 tournaments they competed in. The picture attached shows the Walton Fire Department’s sendoff for the state tournament.
