Walking amongst us in the Walton-Verona High School halls are students who rise above the WV Bearcat pack with achievements, awards, and characteristics reflective of our tradition of excellence. Teachers, faculty, and staff agree with the Paw Press – students deserve a spotlight, a place to shine! Each month you will find such a place here in the Spotlight Excellence feature.
Here is what the faculty have to say for the month of September.
- Paige Brames (12th grade) – “Paige Brames has been recently selected for NaviGo Scholarship Program at Duke Energy and NKY TMMK. She takes multiple dual credit classes and works a LOT of hours at her multiple jobs. She is a female interested in pursuing college in a STEM (engineering or architecture).” Congratulations and great job, Paige!
- Lyndsay Hartman (12th grade) – “This is Lyndsay’s second year as an office aide in the High School. Lyndsay is proactive about meeting the office needs and jumps in before being asked. She is always polite and professional while talking to parents on the phone. She quickly learns new tasks. She is reliable and has a bright future ahead. We were happy to have Lyndsay for a second year in the office!”
- Sophie Neumeister (12th grade) – “Sophie has a heart of gold, always seeking to help any and all around her. Her kind spirit and genuine nature makes her one of a kind!”
- Abbigail James (12th grade) – “Abbigail is the top of the class! Her writing skills are impeccable and unmatched, evident in her talent here in the Paw Press. It goes without saying her talents and character makes her unbeatable as a student and person!”
Congratulations to our Bearcats! You continue to carry out our WV spirit and traditions!
