Student excellence continues into November of 2024. Below you will find students who have been chosen by our staff, deserving of recognition. If you see them in the hallways, congratulate them on a job well done in making WVHS proud.
Mya Peelman – Mya has been a role model student in math class. She works so hard and perseveres through difficult concepts. She is always willing to help her classmates out if needed. Her work ethic and motivation to succeed is inspiring! Keep it up, Mya!
Jordan Donavon – Jordan is always so kind and helpful as I navigate sharing the HS gym everyday. He has noticed I need help most days packing up/carrying all the equipment I have to lug back and forth between schools, and takes initiative to do whatever he can to help. I appreciate his kindness more than he knows!
Ava Donato – Ava shows excellent work ethic and understanding in Algebra II. More admirable than that, she excels in teamwork and moderates meaningful discussions of the content, helping her classmates develop a stronger understanding of the concepts. It is delightful to observe!
Macie Godwin – Macie is an exceptionally hardworking and driven student with a true “go-getter” spirit. Her dedication and enthusiasm for learning are evident in everything she does, consistently going above and beyond. Macie’s commitment to her goals, along with her positive attitude and determination, sets her apart. With her talent and ambition, there’s no doubt that she has a very bright future ahead. I am excited to see all that she will accomplish!
Connor Hammond – Connor has great work ethic and demonstrates a good understanding of content knowledge in Algebra 1. He shows up ready to work each day, asks questions, and never complains. He is a pleasure to have in class!
Roger Metzger – Roger is always smiling and displays good citizenship to others. He is never negative and is willing to assist others without hesitation. He is even likely to greet you with a hug. The world needs more Rogers!
Ian Frye – To see the progress and growth in one student from year to year makes coming to school worthwhile. His commitment to English 102 is refreshing to see and makes me proud to have taught him two years in a row. Great job, Ian!
