Throughout our high school careers, we take rigorous courses to maintain high GPA’s and expedite our knowledge, but are there any classes that stick out? With every student having their strengths and weaknesses, asking students with similar personalities and intellectual abilities can steer upcoming students toward their desired classes.
There were two questions on Mrs. Sampson’s board asking what we want to know: What is your most challenging class and most entertaining class?
Answers varied from grade levels, but some classes stood out more than others. For the most challenging classes, three students put some kind of English class taught by Mrs. Sampson. Mrs. Sampson’s tedious teaching skills drill helpful information into students’ brains, causing students to think carefully about the work turned in to Mrs. Sampson. Kourtlynn Blackburn, who said English 101, which is an English college course, had a strong opinion on the class: “I did not think 101 would be that hard. I had to stay up late all of the time to finish my schoolwork and homework. I’m glad I did the class, though.” Kourtlynn expresses her tiredness from the course, but is overall happy with the results of the class.
On the other hand, the classes students considered “most fun” varied tremendously. Both Sophia Boles and Jenna Stoughtenborough said Floral taught by Ms. Shearer was the class they enjoyed the most. Who doesn’t enjoy building flower arrangements? Mrs. Mayer’s Government and Civics class made the board, too. Lucy Reed said she enjoys the projects they do in class and Mrs. Mayer’s personality.
Personally, the most enjoyable classes I have taken are considered the “hardest” classes because I like to challenge myself and see what I can accomplish. No matter the class, fun or difficult, there are struggles and excitement in each and every course.
