Thanksgiving: a time for family, festivities, and food. Rooted in tradition, Thanksgiving serves as a reminder to appreciate loved ones and stuff your face with your favorite foods! While the origins of Thanksgiving date back to early colonial America, modern celebrations have evolved into a nationwide phenomenon of thankfulness and family connections. Although family time is cherishable, eating your favorite sides are just as important.
While all food is tasty, some have preferences for their side of choice. Teachers were asked what their favorite sides were, and the outcome was surprising. Ms. Ponzer, for example, loves broccoli casserole: the dish reminding her of her mother. Teachers, Mrs. Walters and Mrs. Steele, appreciate a nice stuffing full of flavor; who knew teachers who have rooms next to each other would also have similar taste buds. Mrs. Hartman, on the other hand, prefers sweet sides such as sweet potato casserole. Although she is a tough nut to crack, her favorite part of the sweet potato casserole are the pecans. Ms. Shearer, the legen-dairy agriculture teacher, prefers Taters (Mashed Potatoes) with heaps of butter.
