Students in the Special Education room enjoyed a visit from Birdee Anne, an 8-year-old English Setter trained as a therapy dog. Born in Winchester, Kentucky, Birdee Anne spent 24 weeks learning how to comfort and support people, finally becoming a reliable therapy dog. She normally visits places like hospitals, schools, and even movie theaters. But this week, she stopped by our school to show students how therapy dogs provide comfort and help with emotional support. Her calm, friendly personality helped students learn how animals can make people feel safe, relaxed, and understood.
