As a band member, I had the privilege of going to Owensboro with the cheerleaders and the boys’ basketball team for All-A. It was a great experience, and it was so amazing getting to see people showing up to support our boys’ basketball team! The games were riveting and had everyone on the edge of their seats. Tense moments and time-outs were filled with cheers from either side of the court. The band’s music was loud and proud. Even though the snow sent us home early, we left with Bearcat Pride as our boys won another game and made the final four.

I was also lucky enough to return for the boys’ final basketball game in the All-A tournament. The boys played strongly and made their student section proud. I was grateful to the administration for busing out the WV pep section and the pep band because it made the environment even better. We missed our cheerleaders as they were competing in nationals, but we tried to carry on a few of their cheers when we could. Overall, these were amazing trips filled with many proud moments. Good job to our boys’ basketball team and our cheerleaders! You’re all so amazing!
