The Hoxworth Blood Center recently brought its life saving mission to Walton Verona, turning a normal school day into an opportunity to make a real difference in the world. Hoxworth Blood Center, founded in 1938, is one of the oldest competing blood banks in the United States and serves more than 30 hospitals across Cincinatti and the Northern Kentucky region. It collects over 100,000 units of blood to help patients in need, relying heavily on local donors to maintain supply. Our school having a blood drive gives students a direct way to give back to the community. Many students participated as first-time donors, learning that a single donation canĀ help save multiple lives and support local hospitals. Hosted events like these show how WVHS can go beyond academics by encouraging real world impact. If you did donate or have donated before, Your compassion and commitment to helping others is what keeps the world spinning!
