Tom 4 Prez
“And for this year’s Presidentially pardoned turkey we are down to two contestants. Tammy, with radiant, pearly white feathers, and her less-good looking half, Tommy! Now, I would like to welcome the President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, to pardon one of these lucky turkeys!” beamed the announcer.
“Thank you, thank you very much. You know, I love turkeys, but only these ones grown in America, get outta here with those Chinese turkeys. Sleepy Joe loved those Chinese turkeys, but no, not me, I like my All-American, Big Beautiful turkeys. Anyways, Melania and I are so happy to have these amazing tukeys. I’d love to eat them, but we’ll save one for another year I suppose. Anyway, the winning turkey, from the winning-ist country might I add, is Tammy! Just look at her, so pretty. Congratulations Tammy!”
Tommys feathers dropped and head stooped straight down to the ground. As the President kept speaking, rage started coursing through Tommys veins. Why wouldn’t he pick me? Who does this orange fella even think he is? Without sparing a second to think any further, Tommy flapped his wings and attacked Trump, who was talking about the traditions at the official wooden podium. Feathers and black secret service suits tumbled across the lawn, as Trump hastily tried to roll away from Tommys fierce claws. The newscrews, unprepared for such a drastic turn of events, frantically chased after the ordeal with the cameras, shakily recording the tragedy. Trump kept rolling and rolling, trying to escape the mess he had inadvertently created. He was in such a rush it seems he forgot about the brand new pond that had been put into the Rose Garden.
SPLASH!!! The President was submerged in the pong, flailing around trying to find a ledge to grab onto. Secret Service men started diving into the water, racing to grab the President. Tommy, thinking himself victorious, sprinted back to the podium, posing himself on top as cameras flashed. Then, as if almost to speak to his constituents, he gobbled and gobbled like there was no tomorrow. After dusting the feathers off and wringing out their coats, the Secret Service agents arrested Tommy, putting little handcuffs over his claws. Tommy didn’t fight back, he knew the slots on the jail cell would be large enough for him to squeeze through. From then on, Tommy was known as the first Turkey President. He had become so famous that, at the next election, there was a spot on the ballot for Tom of the “Turkey” party.
