The school book fair is coming up this week, and students will have the chance to win prizes while checking out new books. Along with the book fair, students can participate in beach games like Cornhole,Kan Jam, and Ladder toss.Middle school students can earn tickets by showing a good work ethic and positive behavior. Students should bring their tickets to the bowl, where 5 tickets will be drawn every day during the book fair. The book fair runs from Friday through the following Thursday. Sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students will compete against each other. The grade level with the most points from tickets by Friday will win 30 PBIS points. High school students can also participate, but their tickets will be entered to win smaller prizes rather than the grade level competition. Students can also look forward to many popular books at the fair. According to Mr.Pollock, students usually get excited about young adult books and longer romance genre stories. Some recommended books students should check out include the Powerless series, the I Survived series, and Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Mr. Pollock’s favorite parts of hosting the book fair are giving away books to students who may not be able to afford them. The book fair is a chance for students to discover new stories, play games, and maybe even win prizes along the way!
