Today, during a faculty meeting, I hear a conversation directed to Ms. Shearer concerning a rooster seen in Skyline’s parking lot this morning. Walking down the hall mid-day, I hear yet another conversation concerning the same rooster found strolling through St. Joseph’s parking lot. It appears, the rooster has now become the great mystery of Walton and to reassure all audiences of WVHS, we can guarantee you through the words of Ms. Shearer, he is not “Chickie.”

In fact, I chuckled to myself in reading Ms. Shearer’s email that said as follows:

“Just letting everyone know, the runaway rooster at the skyline is not mine. I’ve attached a picture of Chickies, our rooster, to clear my name 😂. Chickies is safely wreaking havoc in the chicken pen, not the city of Walton. Thanks for everyone reaching out and asking!”

We can all rest knowing Chickie is well-taken care of and in safe hands with Ms. Shearer leading her class into proper care of our WVHS farm animals!
