“My last paw print,” said best by Abbigail James, the first Editor-In-Chief. It feels strange knowing this is the final article I’ll write for this school year. Somewhere between the late ideas, unfinished drafts, and making sure to meet the deadlines, the Paw Press became more than just a class or a publication to me. It became a place where my thoughts mattered, and I got to leave a small piece of myself behind. Every article carried a moment of this year with it. Looking back now, I realize I’ll miss the feeling of seeing something I created become a part of our school’s story. There is something special to me about knowing your words were read by people you walk past every day. Being in this class all year has shown me that Mrs. Sampson has created an environment where creativity can truly be expressed through writing, Whether it was brainstorming ideas, talking about articles for the week, or just having conversations about stories, the class never failed to feel welcoming! As this year is closing, And this being my last Paw Print of the school year, I know I’ll always remember what it felt like to be a part of something that really gave students a voice.
