Yes. You heard correctly. People have spoken – Elf is the most favorite Christmas movie amongst staff and students at WVHS. Perhaps it is the “heart-warming” feeling one gets “about family and acceptance,” per Will Morgan’s feedback, or the “holiday magic” found in the city of lights, New York, per Mrs. Hummel’s feedback. There are many reasons to love this holiday classic, most of us have seen and continue to watch on repeat during the holiday season.
Some movies not so familiar, but worth watching per staff and faculty include movies I, myself, have never seen. These include the following:
The Muppet Christmas Carol (Mrs. Core-Stine)
Dominic the Donkey: an Italian Christmas Class (Mr. Miller)
A Very Vintage Christmas (Sadie Johnson)
Love Hard (Kameryn Limle)
Or you may just want to stick to personal favorites that made the list, but did not win the overall choice , which includes:
Miracle on 34th Street (Maddi Ryan & Mrs. Sampson) Home Alone 1 & 2 (Maddi Ryan)
Santa Claus 1 and 2 (Mrs. Sampson) Polar Express (Maddi Ryan)
The Grinch – Jim Carey (Mrs. Sampson & Cheyenne Auton)
Charlie Brown Christmas (Mr. Walters)
In fact, you may even consider curling up with a mug of hot chocolate and bowl of popcorn to view any and all Hallmark classics, predictable and charming.
Enjoy whatever movie you prefer during this season. The best way to watch it is with family and friends!
