In discussing appreciation with a class of mine, students expressed their love for the cafeteria staff at WVHS. I smiled to myself as I heard comments from students sharing in their genuine appreciation for the ladies coined best as the “Lunchroom heroes.” In the same day, I received an email from our district lunchroom coordinator, Mrs. Prewitt, which stated:

Please join us as we recognize the hardworking cafeteria teams at Walton-Verona who work hard to keep our students fueled, smiling, and ready to learn every day. Their dedication and friendly faces make a difference every day. Feel free to thank our truly amazing cafeteria team at Walton-Verona Schools 🍎 🏆

So, shout out to all of our “Lunchroom heroes,” who provide more than a meal to our students, staff, and faculty on a daily basis. You not only provide relief through silencing our hungry bellies, but also a smile to relieve our hectic school days!
