Yesterday, Ms. Shearer and Mrs. Sampson teamed up to serve the city of Walton through building swing sets that included solo-swings and double-swings. While the task was rather daunting, given Mrs. Sampson is challenged in such areas of manual labor, it was also rewarding. Students had to use their collaboration team-building skills to work together with allen wrenches, ratchets (smart-thinking Ms. Shearer), and multiple pieces of wood with alphabet labeling (at least, Mrs. Sampson knows her alphabet). Thanks for the three Beta members, six FFA members, club sponsors, and Mrs. Sampson’s own 12-year old daughter for sacrificing your time and sore hands in getting the job done. While it was sponsored first by Beta, it would not have been completed in a timely manner without the valuable assistance of FFA. Thank you to everyone! We hope community members will enjoy their sitting area and remember it did take the sweat and labor of our school members!
